ìWeíre an electronic band,î affirms Amit ìDuvdevî Duvedevani, singer and co-founder of the Israel-bred, Los Angeles-based psy-trance duo Infected Mushroom, ìbut when we became a full live band onstage, the reaction was so powerful that we knew we were inventing something new.î
Just two years after breaking into the Top 100 as one of the highest new entries in history, the boundary busting psy-trance overlords have finally smashed their way into the elusive top ten. Itís been another pivotal year for the Israeli-born duo. Punctuated by a typically breathtaking gig schedule (they average over three a weekend), the pair enjoyed the limelight of their first DJmag cover after releasing their fifth studio album ó ëVicious Deliciousí ó earlier in the year.
ìWeíre happy that people come and see Infected Mushroom even if they arenít into psy-trance,î adds Erez. ìWeíre always looking to things we havenít tried before.î As always, their rampant tour schedule has covered every last corner of the globe with their diary reading like the departure board at Los Angeles airport.
Their live set, which goes on for 90 minutes, includes 4 on stage for an onslaught of power. Duvdev vocals, Erez on keyboards, Tommy Cunningham on guitars and Rogerio on V-Drums. Donít miss Infected Mushroom and their amazing live show at GT Banana on March 7th!
